Excellence Through People

On the 31^st of October 2003, Atlanfish Ltd was presented with the Excellence Through People Award. The presentation was made by Ms Mary Coughlan T.D., Minister for Social and Family Affairs, at a function in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran.

Atlanfish Ltd was among 9 other companies from Donegal to receive the award that day. Minister Coughlan said that for companies and local authorities to earn such a reputation for excellence was a tremendous achievement.

The main objectives of the award are to encourage development of employees to their full potential so as to maximise their contribution to the organisation and to show recognition for organisations that have achieved the standard.

Gareth Gallagher, Managing Director, said that Atlanfish was committed to the training and development of its staff and thanked all employees for their effort in helping the company achieve the standard.

DHL Export Awards

Atlanfish Ltd was chosen as one of the finalists for the DHL Export Awards 2003. Gareth Gallagher received the award on behalf of Atlanfish from DHL Express, Managing Director, Bernard McCarthy.

The DHL Export Awards are designed to show recognition to Irish companies involved in exporting and to develop public awareness of the vital role that small businesses play in the continuing economic development of Ireland.

Mr McCarthy said: "Atlanfish has shown great ingenuity to grow its business to date and its investment in modern technology means that it is producing premium products that have proven popular in many European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets. Its strong focus on quality control and its ability to tailor its products to the needs of its overseas customers impressed the judges and bodes well for the company's continued success."
